Eric Prine goes out in the Field (museum)

Eric Prine is not one of those photographers who picked up a camera when he was 5 and never put it down.  His first education (and first two degrees) were in zoology and biology.  So naturally (ha!) he enjoys natural history, and natural history museums.

Now that he's found his true love in photography, he merges them all together quite nicely.

Valentine Tears

No no no, not tears....TEARS!

(though we were privy to some hysterical tears last night...downstairs neighbor girl:  you are so much better than him!  you deserve more! he's a monster!)

These lovely images are by the always amazing Brian Sorg from some recent shoots for Ladies Home Journal Magazine.  That's right - you heard me!  LHJ has undergone a fantastic re-design and sending Mr. Sorg all over to meet and photograph the amazing people in their articles.  There are many more to come! We <3 LHJ.

Touchdown!

Congratulations to the Baltimore Ravens on their Superbowl win last night!  This year we thought the game was far more interesting than the Superbowl Ads that accompanied it, which is why we normally turn it on in the first place.  (We'll admit that this year Beyonce may have had something to do with that too)

Our favorite game night commercial by far was Dodge Ram's "God Made a Farmer", for its use of still images that were both intimate and beautiful.  (keep reading for our overall favorite)

If you haven't seen it yet, check it out:

The ad that made us giggle the most?  Oreo!

Check it out:

Oreo also gets the prize for fastest on their feet.  When the lights went out ad agency 360i and Oreo exec's quickly approved this online ad.  Smarty-pants.

The prize for best use of the superbowl in an ad (and ultimately our favorite) goes to this Goodby Silverstein & Partners gem for Adobe, released today.  That's just genius.

Which was your favorite?  Did we miss anything?  Let us know!
